North of Dunipace towards Stirling.

Produced steam coal. A serious fire and explosion occurred which closed the pit in 1895

Approx. 177 men worked there.

Herbertshire No2 - Stripeside.

Herbertshire No3 (Station Pit) - Situated near the new High School.

This mine was in operation until 1959 producing steam coal.
